“Frente a frente”, the television debate program hosted by Renato Alvarez, analyzed the conference of university rectors in Honduras, which was attended by Francesc Pedró, director of UNESCO IESALC.
Pedró pointed out that Honduras must expand its coverage in higher education as its participation rate is around 19%, in the best cases, while for Latin America as a whole it is around 25%.
There is significant room for growth, but he stressed that this must be done with equity and so that it really is “higher education for all”.
