The UNESCO Roadmap for the Transformation of Higher Education: No More Business as Usual. An Interview with Francesc Pedró

Francesc Pedró, UNESCO IESALC’s director, was interviewed by the Journal of Higher Education Policy And Leadership Studies (JHEPALS) to talk about the UNESCO roadmap for the transformation of higher education.

The gap between the quality of higher education in the North and the South; the unbalanced monopoly of knowledge production and distribution in higher education; the effects of higher education ranking systems; the current policies of higher education in today’s world were some of the topics developed in the interview. Francesc Pedró also reflected on alternative policies for intelligently facing the future of higher education.
