Universities often want to increase their impact by addressing global challenges but, are they maximizing their LOCAL impact?
Each higher education institution is uniquely placed to contribute to SDG 11 (cities and communities) with a unique knowledge of the local context through building local human capital, researching urban issues, engaging with local stakeholders, driving local entrepreneurship and innovation or leading through example in sustainable management.
The new report by UNESCO IESALC and Times Higher Education addresses these issues by identifying practices and policies, sharing good practice cases, and providing actionable recommendations for universities and policymakers.
