Establishment of the Regional Network of National Recognition Structures

In order to formalize the constitution of the Regional Network of National Recognition Structures, the first ordinary meeting of the Regional Network of the Buenos Aires Convention is convened to be held on February 8, 2024, in Havana, Cuba.
At the first regular meeting of the Committee of the Regional Convention for the Recognition of Studies, Degrees and Diplomas in Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (Buenos Aires Convention), held in Colonia del Sacramento (Uruguay) on April 13-14, 2023, it was agreed to form a Regional Network of National Recognition Structures.
During 2023, this regional network has been articulated with different competent national organizations in the area of recognition of degrees and studies. Likewise, 7 regional meetings have been held with invited experts and specific topics concerning the implementation of the Convention, in addition to the formation of three working groups.
