Green Skills and Green Jobs for Youth Roundtable

The Student Action Group (SAG) of the United Nations Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI), is organizing the International Green Skills and Green Jobs for Youth Roundtable on 17 July 2024, an official side eventto the 2024 United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) – the UN’s main platform for the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The roundtable event will unite young people and high-level representatives from leading universities, major industry employers, and intergovernmental policymakers worldwide. The aim is to foster conversations and collaborative action for meaningful progress towards a shared vision for green skills and sustainable learning in Higher Education.
Bosen Lily Liu; Head of Partnership and UN Liaison (UNESCO IESALC), will participate in a roundtable sharing perspectives from policymakers, bringing the intergovernmental vision on the youth definition of green skills and green jobs
The Roundtable is scheduled for 17 July 2024 (Wednesday), from 9:00 to 11:00* am EST, in the
* Before the event, a welcoming breakfast from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. will be served at the UN Global Compact office. Following the event, there will also be the opportunity to continue in-person discussions with a networking session from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
