Colombian postgraduates studies: realities, challenges and possibilities
21 March 2024 hora: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
The 2024 congress of the Colombian Postgraduate Network, Colombian postgraduate studies: Realities, challenges and possibilities will analyse the present and future of the Network, with the contribution and reflections of guest speakers and panellists, who will discuss academic innovation as a response to the demands of a globalised world impacted by artificial intelligence, the functional structure of postgraduate degrees in Colombian universities and the indicators that show the evolution of postgraduate training from the perspective of funding, permanence and demand for postgraduate training, among others.
Francesc Pedró, director of UNESCO IESALC, will participate at 10:30h with the conference Educational innovation in higher education.
The 2024 Congress of the Colombian Postgraduate Network recognises the important link between Gabriel García Márquez and the University of Cartagena, where at the age of 21 he studied law for some time, before deciding his destiny as a journalist and writer. As a result of his stay at this university and in La Heroica, years later this Nobel Prize winner in Literature used his inspiration to recreate and describe several fantastic places in his novels. For this reason, Cartagena was a frequent destination for Gabo and today his ashes rest in the Claustro de la Merced of the University of Cartagena where he will have eternal memory for being one of the best Latin American writers of all times.
Hybrid event (face-to-face and virtual) free of charge.
