Sustainable Development Goals and the Impact of Research

Victoria Galan-Muros, Head of Policy Analysis and Technical Cooperation at UNESCO IESALC, will join the Fireside Chat “Sustainable Development Goals and the Impact of Research”. She will discuss how academic research is helping to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the expertise and knowledge of scholars and scientists, while narrowing the gap between research and policy and at the same time enforcing the nexus between them.
The event, organized by the University Industry Innovation Network, will give practical tips and will show how to contribute to SDGs through research. The speakers will share their in-depth experience on how to leverage the SDG framework for more impactful research.
It is aimed at academics who want to boost both scientific and societal impact of their research and education and Researchers who want to engage with businesses and societal stakeholders to increase their impact.
