XIX Seminar on quality in distance higher education: “New scenarios for quality assurance in virtual education”

The “XXIII International Meeting: Transforming education from science, technology and innovation”, organized by the General Secretariat of Virtual Educa and the Mayor’s Office of Medellin, will be held in Medellin (Plaza Mayor and CES University) on October 19, 20 and 21, 2022.
Its objectives are to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education, promote learning opportunities for all and develop resilient infrastructures, all through innovation. The thematic areas of the meeting are:
- Educators in the digital age
- Higher education, innovation and internationalization
- Education, Technology and Innovation
- Lifelong Learning and Entrepreneurship
- Citizenship and education
- Evaluation, quality, inclusion and coexistence
Within the framework of the Meeting, the Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Quality in Higher Distance Education (CALED), with the institutional support of the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL), will develop the XIX Seminar on Quality in Distance Higher Education, with the theme: “New scenarios for quality assurance in virtual education”, with the purpose of promoting the culture of quality assurance in higher education, promoting continuous improvement actions for the growth, transformation and innovation of the educational system for the benefit of the university community.
The seminar, which will be held in hybrid mode on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 10h45 to 12h05 (Colombian time GMT-5), will be attended by Francesc Pedró, director of UNESCO IESALC. The same day, he will give an Impact talk, from 14h00 to 14h45 (GMT-5).
