XXXIV SOMECE International Symposium 2021: Digital transformation and Educational Innovation

The Sociedad Mexicana de Computación en la Educación- SOMECE (Mexican Society of Computing in Education), the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México- UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), the Unión de Universidades de América Latina y el Caribe- UDUAL (Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean) and the Universidad ORT Uruguay (ORT Uruguay University) as virtual headquarters organize the XXXIV SOMECE International Symposium 2021: Digital transformation and Educational Innovation. The online event will take place from October 27 to 30, 2021.

Its objective is “to reflect and analyze the needs of educational communities for the creation of new ubiquitous and timeless techno-pedagogical environments, where there is a hybridization of formats and channels, continuously transforming and innovating teaching-learning processes”. The guidelines are as follows: Models of use of technologies for hybrid education; Digital content for hybrid education; Technological infrastructure for hybrid education; Knowledge management for hybrid education; Educational policies for hybrid education; Nética (ethics, jurisprudence, intellectual property, licensing); Inclusion and diversity in hybrid education; Teacher training for hybrid education; Evaluation for hybrid education and diverse looks, art and other expressions.

UNESCO IESALC academic coordinator, Yuma Inzolia, will participate as a keynote speaker on October 27 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (Mexico City) with the theme “Digital transformation of higher education in the region”.
